Brake dust covers

Im changing out my hubs and I heard that most people don't put them back for easy cleaning? Should I put them back on?

HAHAHA i thought i was the only one who had that happen man was it embarassing brand new jeep cruising around WTF is that noise ahhh stupid little rock

I just pulled the rock out and left the covers on, keeps the rain water off the brakes a bit i think
