What brand and weight of gear oil should be used for an ARB Air locker? ARB recommends the use of a non- synthetic oil that IS NOT designed for use with limited slip diffs, but there are so many brands/ types/ weights that I'm not sure which middle of the road brand to go with that also comes in a 5gal bucket.

Don't the 1 ton axles require thicker fluid? I'm pretty sure they do.
What does Moby use? Assuming he has air lockers of course.

I think 85-140 is recommended.
What brand? Synthetic or Dino? Limited slip additive or without?

ALL Synthetic fluids have friction modifier in them and that's why ARB recommends the use of traditional dino gear oil. While I haven't had any problems running synth fluid with my ARB's, I change the fluid often enough that it was just getting too expensive to do all the time and, being that ARB doesn't recommend it, I just started using 85W140 dino again.
