Where to mount my cb

So I just got my cobra 18wxstIIc and I'm trying to figure out where I want to put it. Even thou on top of the dash is easy and convenient I live in the city and have a soft top so I'm worried about some one seeing it and breaking in to steal it. I was thinking under my drivers seat or on the plastic by the steering column under the steering wheel. It doesn't have to be totally out of sight j just don't want it sitting right in plan view on the dash. I look forward to everyone's in put and suggestions thanks in advance .

^ Thats where i mounted mine, I also have a soft top and if you unplug the mic, its barely noticeable .

That's where I mounted mine too. Made my own mounts and bar to mount to.

I used the Rugged ridge Mount http://www.ruggedridge.com/cb-radio-mount-07-14-jeep-wrangler-jk.html I had to drill a couple holes in my mounting bracket that came with my 29. I also turned it a little bit towards the drivers seat.

Thanks for all the feed back I was thinking about above the rear view but I'm still undecided but I will look at the mounts and take it all into consideration I'm still thinking about going lower somewhere below the dash if I could find a good spot
