Air Bag Light

I attempted to search for this before posting however it said Air and Bag were too common and were left out. While driving today normal roads i hit a normal bump and normal speeds and my air bag light popped on after a loud beep. I pulled over put the jeep in park and it shut off. I shook it off put the jeep back in drive and it came back on and remained on the remainder of the trip. It is now staying on. I checked for lose wires and connections but couldnt find any. Anyone have any suggestions?:thinking:

Did you have anything sitting in the passenger seat?

I haven't tried this with the JK yet. But the wife's 2010 Mazda would trip the light with my backpack and lunch on the passenger seat.

It wasnt the passenger air bag light warning it was the one on the dash for the driver side. Driver seat was empty though

It's probably your clock spring. What year is your Jeep?

agreed, this is a common problem with older JK's. there is a TSB for this and, if you're still under warranty, can get it replaced for free.

My jeep is an 07 and it is under the extended warranty which has 100 dollar deductible for all repairs
