Looking for a GPS

Looking for a GPS that will work for both on road and be able to download trails. We are moving from Alaska to Colorado at the end of summer so I need something that will help with the 3200 mile drive. Would be nice to also be able to download trails along the way so we can hit a few during the trip.Any ideas?

i use back country navigator app for my phone, 10 dollar app and does what you described what you want.

I hear the Garmin Rhino is pretty cool. Will also be a radio and can be paired with others and transmit locations.
