Caught the Bug
I was doing some maintenance under the car the weekend and noticed that my exhaust was positioned just right to start melting the stock wiring harness. If you run a similar exhaust that's tucked up closer to your bumper, make sure you double check any wiring harnesses nearby. On to the photos:
Here's the damage. Thankfully it hadn't melted the wiring jacket yet, just the loom.
Here's the DEI heat wrap tape I used to re-wrap the loom. This is great stuff and reflects almost all the heat away. You can put this directly on most surfaces and not worry about it peeling off, burning, etc.
Here's the finished product. I didn't snap a picture, but after this, I took a zip tie and resecured it to some existing holes in the bumper support bracket.
