picture of bent c?

Does anyone have a picture of what a bent c looks like? or describe how I would know if mine are bent or not? I bought my JKUR with 35s already on. I have not driven another JK before so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I know the thing doesn't track very well. I have been told my problem may be a caster issue. I thought I read somewhere that a bent c could cause caster issues. So, based on all these facts it seems I could have a bent c, but I have no idea what I'm looking for.

With bent C's the top of your wheels can look like they are leaning in. Usually causing a problem with camber.

Ouch, that looks expensive to repair.

You can get ball joints that can help to overcome the damage to a certain extent, but ultimately the only fix is to replace the knuckle. At that point, especially if your paying all the labor involved, it would be cheaper to replace the axle with a used take off that's not damaged or a better aftermarket axle. Otherwise the bent C will cause your tires to wear unevenly at the least.

I don't know if I'm just not seeing it but I don't see the bend in the pic I have yet to install the gussets but they are just sitting at home. I took a pic of mine tell me what you think ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1404999671.761824.jpg

Looking at a C that is bent will not look like a whole lot. As mentioned, a bent C will cause your wheel to look like it has camber. In other words, looking at the tire head on, it'll look like the top is leaning in. As Chris noted, you can install offset ball joints to help mitigate the camber but, unless you do something to prevent the C from bending more, it'll still bend again.

Ok, so this is what I'm looking at. The tires do seem to tilt in at the top a bit, but I also have a 3" lift. Doesn't that affect the camber as well? If it is the Cs that are bent, what kind of damage could that cause, other than uneven tire wear? Is it something I need to be overly concerned about with the next 3 months? I ask b/c I'm moving overseas in about 3 months and the Jeep will be in storage for a couple years whole I'm away. I don't want to spend money I don't have to in the between now and then.

No. On a solid axle, lift will not effect camber.

Poor tire wear will be your biggest problem. I wouldn't be overly concerned with it.

Mine look the same way..I've never had more than 33s on her either. I'm just upgrading my ball joints with synergy then making sure I rotate every 5k miles!
