Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the valve covers to replace the gasket? Mine are bad and are seeping oil. I could only find how to remove the intake manifold and replace those gaskets. If anyone has any knowledge on how its done or were to look it would be much appreciated. My jeep is not covered under warranty.

Easy just remove the bolts. Clean both the heads and covers very well and replace the gasket.

It's that simple? And what should I use to clean it?

Okay so I'm thinking about buying the upper engine gasket kit and I read about taking of the intake manifold and the fuel rail. I heard there a tool I need to keep fuel from spraying everywhere, does anyone know anything about that? Or any other important info regarding upper gasket replacment...

Someone can correct me if Im wrong. Your profile says you have a 2007 so you shouldn't need to be taking manifolds off to do rocker cover gaskets. Should be a case of just removing the covers. You shouldn't need to buy a top gasket set for that.

I figure if Im gonna replace one set of gaskets I might as well do the rest in the area. The Big one is the one for the covers which from what Im understanding should be easy as remove, clean, replace, tighten.

But I have another question, this Gasket (in the red square) is the head gasket, Is that as simple as taking the old one off after I remove the valve covers?

All the other gaskets and what not seem pretty easy, I found a vid of a 3.3L Chrysler intake manifold gaskets being done. Figure there pretty close and all the diagrams look the same.

If your rocker covers are leaking thats pretty easy. My advice , just do them and only them if that' all that's leaking. Head gaskets are another story all together, heaps more work involved. If it ain't broke don't fix it would be my advice.

How can I make sure that's it's not the head covers as well?

If these pictures are showing the leak or damp areas on the front of the block that you're referring to then it's just your valve covers. Take the nuts off the studs and remover bolts holding them on.

Also clean the area well where you have the leak as seen in the pictures you provided then drive and double check that is where the leak is coming from.

You just want to see whats under or do you need a photo of something specific?

Oh I just like valve cover porn. Bad habit I developed from reading motor oil forums. Just interested in varnish or sludging.
Strangely, I like seeing used oil filters cut open, too.

I'm seeing those posted photos on my phone so not very clear. Does it look like intake manifold leak to anyone else?

I had checked the intake manifold area there is no leak coming from there, it looks like its leaking from the valve cover and just dribbling down to the center front
