Front Speaker replacement with a Sport Cage?

I was wondering if anyone has tried replacing the front speakers AFTER installing a sport cage. It doesn't seem like i can access all at the bolts (since the side of the dash is covered by the sport cage). Is this even possible? I went ahead and ordered some super short/stubby screw drivers to pull the dash away and back the screws out, but would really like to remove the pods themselves to make some additional mods. I would rather not remove my sport cage.... Has anyone tried this?

How the hell do you get the passenger speaker out? No way I can see how to get a wrench on the bolts for the speaker enclosure.

Well at least this tells me I'm not an idiot for being stumped. Up until today my stereo has been 100% stock. Replaced the sound bar units in 10 minutes. Got to the passenger side and realized that I could get 2 of the 3 screws securing the speaker out but I don't have a screwdriver stubby enough for the top one (so I ordered one from Amazon). I would have liked to remove the entire pod to put a small port in the enclosure but that seems impossible without removing the sport cage and I'm simply not willing to do that. I guess the pods stay in.

the passenger side is removed through the glove box,
take out the glove box
take off the glove box lower panel
you should bow be able to see a bolt that holds down the speaker box from the glove box side
remove the side panel
you should be able to the other bolts that hold the speaker box, mine had 2

from inside the glove box, unplug the spearbox and pull the speaker box out through the glove box

mine's a 2010 so yours may be slightly different

2012 which has bolts on the outside right between the cage and the dash. Thanks though.

What cage do you have? i thought that was the reason for having a bolt in cage, so you could easily access something if you needed to?
Rock hard- 2 bolts at the top after removing the trim piece and visor, 6 bolts to the dash bar, and 3 bolts to side of the dash- 10 minutes.

 I didn't see the PS cage has those solid plates that run on the outside... guess drilling access holes is out since it's already installed

I have the rock hard. Since I didn't do the initial install (hell I didn't even see the box or instructions) I suppose there is some apprehension based out of a lack of "hands on knowledge" about this one piece of kit. I was concerned that that it was going to be a PITA to reinstall or that the fitment would be off after disassembly. If it's really that simple, time for some trim panel removal this weekend.

Just to help everyone out. Both passenger and driver side are easy to do if you leave the pod in and get a simple too for $6 from Amazon. 10 min to remove, stuff with polyfill and reinstall.

Stupid question but did the passenger speaker come all the way out or just enough to stuff poly fill? Thx

Yes I did. Had to take the cage out.
