I'm Lycan. I'm from sunny South Africa and just got my first Jeep. 2011 JKU Sahara. Still stock, seeing that we have to import everything from the USA.

Love your forum and the videos of your trips. Green with jealousy this side.

Howzit is South African.

Basically means how is it going.

Another word you'll hear us say is lekker.

Term locals in Hawaii use to greet each other. The equivalent of the haole greeting "how are you?"
"Howzit, bra."

Also,
South African greeting - meaning hello, how are you and what are you up to? Alternatively, I don't really have the energy to stop and chat with you, but take this Howzit as being friendly enough -thanks. also a clear marker for when someone is a south african.
howzit ma bru, howzit ma chinabean, howzit china, howzit.
