Where The !@$#%^ is the Turn Flasher ??

All,

So I installed LED tail bulbs in my 2012 JK. Now the turn lamps flash too fast.

I need an LED flasher. OK. Where is it ??

I turned my turn signal on & followed the sound to the back of the speedo cluster.

( Yeah...I Have Been Thinking This Project Is A Cluster...)

On the back of the Speedo soldered to the board is a little black box which ticks

in time to the flashing. I'm guessing this is the flasher.

REALLY ?? The flasher is not replaceable ?? Did the engineer think this device would last the life of the vehicle ??

Or is this a marketing decision ? When your flasher dies you have to buy a new gauge cluster ??

I looked in the fusebox which is under my hood. Fuses & relays but no flasher & nothing in there ticks while the lights are blinking.

My owners manual does not contain the word FLASHER.

I have re installed the 3157 lamps for now.

Is there no hope ??

You need a load resistor for each light. This is the wiring diagram

Welcome to the Wayalife.

How about stopping by the Give us aWave thread and introduce yourself.

What do you need to put an LED flasher?

Is the turn signal flashing too fast?

May I suggest using a load limiter?

Maybe PVann will chime in.

you need to use a resistor:

Had to check, 50w 6ohm. Here is a different diagram for just a bulb

I may be mistaken, but I believe it flashes fast to tell you one of your turn signal lamps is burnt out, and because the LED lamps are so low amperage, the Jeep may think your tail lights are out even though that's not the case.
