Birthday trip ideas.

Planning a trip for my birthday in December. I would like to go somewhere with snow. I'm thinking either Tahoe or Mammoth. Any ideas on where would be good and where to stay. Any trails also. Thanks in advance. I want to do a little exploring.

Since I was born and raised in Bishop, I am partial to the Eastern Sierras. There are a lot of great trails to run. Wheeler Ridge is my favorite. It will take you to about the 12,000ft mark of the Sierras overlooking Round Valley. Silver and Wyman Canyons are simple but scenic. It will also take you by the Laws Railroad Museum. Casa Diablo is another fun and scenic route from bishop up towards Crowley Lake.

Wherever you decide, make sure to take plenty of pictures!
