Great Sand Dunes, CO trip

Caught the Bug
The wife and I had a few days off for fall break. We decided it was time for a road trip so we loaded up the jeep and headed to southern Colorado to check out Great Sand Dunes National Monument. First day was great with lots of sun. We ran into some weather the second day which made Medano Pass more fun but not so good for pictures. Here's a few highlight shots:

We were there at the end of September. Lots of fun there. Entry into the park was cheap. I rolled down one of the dunes just to say I did it. We skipped modano pass I don't have MTs on my ranger. The park was great. Took forever to get to the park from the highway. We stopped and took pictures of the mountains in the background.

Did you try to run up any of Blanca while you were there? One of the best and most secluded trails in Co. I was there about a week before you

F'n GREAT pictures. I was there and we hiked to the top (yeah, wore my ass out) and had a great time. Would have loved to do it again. Thank you for the pictures.

No, didn't make it to Blanca on that trip as we didn't have time and we were alone (we like to go on tougher trails with at least one other jeep). I was invited to do Blanca a month prior to our trip but I couldn't get off work:grayno:. Gonna see about running it this year because I saw my friends pics and they were awesome. It's not too far from where I live luckily.
