So, on a few other (non Jeep) forums I'm on, theres a chat box somewhere on the page.

It still allows you to browse the forum but it keeps the chat box open and your convo going. Just thought that would be a cool little thing for "X" day meet ups for chats or random small issue questions that don't deserve a thread.

Just a thought!!

there is a function of sort called PM. For me I have several friends from the forum that we converse regularly with txt messages.

These other forums do they require you to buy a membership to use this feature?

We'll leave that for jeepmingle. I don't need to "chat" with these guys more than I already do in the threads. Lmao

I brought this up before on JK forum once, but ultimately it was decided that it just didn't really fit...and it's usually ripe with abuse. It's a moderators nightmare, basically.
