In 1999, I bought a barn kept, 86 cj7 with 40k miles from the original owner. He only drove it once a year to his hunting cabin so it was a great find for me. Over the years, I have lifted it to sit on 33s and hired a "mechanic" to replace the 4 cyl with a 4.0 from a 91 Cherokee. The conversion did not go well and I am finally getting around to a rebuild and reconfiguration that should make this a solid Jeep. I am doing it myself so there have been plenty of learning opportunities along the way. I am located in the North Dallas suburbs and look forward to encouraging others to jump into the project obsession.

Welcome to the WAYALIFE! Love the history behind your CJ7. Post up some pictures of your progress so we can enjoy the transformation.

Another pic when I pulled it into the garage and a pic of the engine bay with the first coat of paint.
