Have the factory Alpine w/ sub system. Have the Axxess CHTO-013BB and ASWC-1 adapters attached together but not sure about the proper attachment of the remaining wires- red coming from the ASWC-1, yellow and black (ground) coming from the CHTO-013BB, and the blue coming from where the factory plug will attach to the CHTO. I'm installing a Kenwood DDX491. I'm assuming that all the other wires (ones attaching to the Kenwood harness from the CHTO) are just matching up colors. Any other guidance would be appreciated- first HU install.

I don't believe they attach together. the aswc-1 is purely for your steering wheel controls. you'll use the CHTO adapter for your main harness, hook it up to the kenwood harness and then plug it into the factory plug. I believe you have to splice the ASWC also into the kenwood harness, and then hook it up to the factory plug for the steering wheel controls.

There should be some guidance on how to do this on the interwebs. I haven't done an HU in my JK, but I've done plenty of HUs in my day - so it's pretty straight forward most of the time if you have the right harnesses. Let me know if you need any help untangling the mess if you get into one and I'll do my best.

The CHTO comes pre-wired for the ASWC to use in conjunction- you just have to plug the ASWC into a 12 pin socket coming from the CHTO. There is just some lose wires that I think are for if you are not using them in conjunction - that's what I'm not sure about. Thanks for the leads.

There are a bunch of wires that you don't do anything with, just fold them over and zip tie them out of the way. follow the instructions on letting the thing program itself, that is where I screwed up…. well one spot anyways...:thumb: I did a whole install about a month ago, happy to help if I can, just message me.

Was thinking those were not needed, so hopefully things will go smoothly. May be asking some questions later, the HUs not here yet.
