EVO 1/4 Pounder Aluminum vs Steel

Now that I have my new Winch picked out, should I do the aluminum or the steel EVO 1/4 Pounder? I know aluminum is lighter but overall does the 25lbs justify the price difference in your opinion?

In my opinion steel is the only way to go if you wheel you're rig.

Aluminum is all the rage right now and really, I'm sure it's fine. Me, I prefer steel but, that's just me.

I always pick Steel. 25 lb on a 4,500+ lb jeep means nothing In my opinion.

This reminds me of a backpacking saying.
"If you think ounces, the pounds shave off"

So- do you have any plans to go with lightweight stuff on other parts of your rig? If not, I would go steel. But if you are always trying to shave off weight, then it might be a good way to do it.

IMO- the steel one is going to take a hit a lot better, but the aluminum looks cooler.

That all makes sense and validated my thoughts as well. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks for your input.

Steel is way easier to repair....I will always go steel if anything for that.
