To sleeve... Or not to sleeve...

Hello,

I own a '13 JKUR I plan on running some 40's on my stock D44's until I save up for PR60s.

I wanted to know if anyone had any personal experience with this setup (40's on 44's) and if it is worth it to sleeve or not. I dont want to wait until it is too late.

thanks

axle housing strength will be the least of your concerns especially if you're planning to replace your axle with a 60 sometime soon. you're more than likely to break a shaft even with 35's. if it were me, i'd save the money.

I know a guy who just put 40s on his 2013 stock Rubicon Dana 44s. He just broke an axle shaft on his first off road trip. Several people warned him not to go above 37s with Dana 44s. I believe Eddie says the same thing. Good luck
