Newbie trails around Sacramento?

Just put the lift and tires on and I'm looking for some easy trails to run. I'm relatively new to the jeep way a life. And I have to get the OPS boss comfortable with crawling over rocks.

The good thing about winter is that normally mild roads can become challenging in the snow . The snow gates above Foresthill (at China Wall about 1 hour from Roseville) have not been closed yet due to the high elevation of the snow. You can make it all the way up to Robinson Flat which is about 6800 feet elevation and has about 2 feet of snow. Be careful if going by yourself because there can be ice and this old hard icy snow can get a rid stuck (not as easy to push through as fresh powder).

You can always head out to Prairie City south of Folsom. An okay place to test stuff out.
