COZJ Build thread. Slow but steady.

Well I'm sitting here waiting on a couple parts for my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I thought that its finally time to start a build thread of it. Before I go in to the plans for the Jeep I probably should give a bit of history on it. This Jeep has been in my family since 1999 when we bought it used with 12k on it. Its the vehicle I learned to drive in and learned about how much fun it is to take it off road. This is what it looked like when it was passed down to me. Of coarse a flex shot when stock. One of the first wheeling I went on when I could drive.

Then the chrome grill had to go. after that I got some 6" kc Apollo pros.

After that I worked a CB I bought used from a friend with custom homemade mount.
First snow wheeling trip on Illinois gulch and Missouri gulch.
At the end of the trail and my little zj pretty much impressed everyone Even me!

Some new tires. Had to get them muddy ASAP.
After that I painted the rims black, yes I know over done but I like it.
After that the build slowed down a little bit and beside wheel spacer 1.25" alloy USA.
and some "custom" sway bar disconnects.
And changing the pcv valve elbows.

This 1997 Jeep has around 180k miles on it and is frequently used as a work vehicle

But of course I can't forget the normal flex shot.
Flexing next to my friends Lj on 35s.

Transfer case skid plate is on.

Small up date. Got rock sliders on from Kevin's off road and they are awesome. got them on about 3 weeks ago when it was still warm here in Colorado.

Here is a large update. While I've bit been posting I have added a 3.5" short arm lift by trail master. A Heavy duty front track bar and rod by Rubicon express. Rubicon express 3" steering drop pitmen arm.

Then after the lift I added a lock rite lunchbox locker to the rear axle and after doing the break in period of 500 miles which I was able to do in 4 days.

More to come soon. Involving a trip to moab for 4 days. For testing.
