Hey ladies and gents! I have an 11 JK 2 dr Sport, I am noticing an issue with my gas tank. Anytime I go to fill up my tank I have to stand over it and watch it otherwise when it clicks to stop the overflow of my tank will spill everywhere. Tt a tech at a dealership and he said sounds like I need a new fuel tank....gotta be kidding me.....anyone else have or ever had same issues?

I don't think it needs a whole new fuel tank. We had a recall (not for a jeep) where it just needed some part in the filler neck or something. I would check to see if you have a recall

I know 08 have open service thing for it. I don't if 2011 have. But all they replaced on mine was the filler neck.

Had a recall on the JK (mine was in the run and had the same problem) at first they were changing the whole gas tank assembly, but now they are just dropping the tank to change out the filler. Only took about 2 hours and a year later I am still amazed it doesn't splash out all over my Jeep anymore.
I don't know what years the recall covered though, so anyone out there able to help?
