Strange Noise

I have a strange squeaking noise coming from the drivers side front tire area at low speeds. Over 50 mph, there is no sound. Anyone know what this might be?

brake wear indicators? check your brake pads, it may be time for new ones

Calipers? I doubt it. Pads and rotors are more likely.

U joint is easy, especially with a u joint press. You'll need a big socket for the axle but tho. Can't remember the size

Thanks. I meant rotors and pads were bad, probably from years of salt on the roads of Illinois and Wisconsin. Not the cause of the sound though. Thanks for the pointers on the U Joint. That will probably be a project in the weeks to come.

Brake calipers bad and a bad u-joint. How hard is the u joint replace?

Depends in the person, if you never replaced they can be a bitch to take them out......

I never replaced them in any of my JKs but I had a buddy that replaced he's ford Broncos and man..... This were a dam pain in the ass to get them off
