EVO drag link flip sway bar links

So i just got my EVO DL flip kit in the mail and i was laying stuff out to get ready for the install. I called and confirmed that you are supposed to put the factory rear sway bar links in the front. I did my lift (RK 3.5" X-Factor) over 2 years ago and dont have my original sway bar links anymore. dealership and auto zone wants $35 each for new ones or i thought about trying to find some used ones ppl took off but havent found a set close to me yet. then looking at the drivers side extension bracket i thought maybe is is possible to just buy 1 new factory sway bar link and not put in the drivers side extension bracket just run my extended RK one? The drivers side extension bracket isnt adding strength to anything just extra height for the shorter sway bar link... i think...

Just spitballing an idea here. passenger side running the new bought dealership sway bar link on the track bar relocation bracket. Driver side omit the sway bar extension bracket and run my RK extended one. Im no mechanical engineer here but essentially they are still attached to the same point on the axle and as long as i adjust the RK one to make the sway bar even on both sides it should work right??? idk anyone out there think that should work or is it just a dumb idea??

I think I know what you're saying. But if you want a matching one, look at a crown replacement.
Amazon had good prices.

Looks about right. How much were they from the dealership?

dealership and auto zone wanted $35 a piece and Napa wanted $44 a piece so amazon crown ones would save me about $10 each

still wonder if i can get away with just one and do what i was talking about up top

I also installed the EVO drag link flip recently and didn't use the extension points on either side. Had to cut the flip bracket so not to rub against swaybar link. Using the factory rear links on a 4" enforcer lift the swaybar is almost level. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1426445564.183883.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1426445579.075369.jpg

Hummm that's a good idea. It doesn't make the sway bar link sit too crooked on the pass side? Or ride funny at all?

I guess another point to ask on here when measuring out the sway bar links, is the sway bar supposed to sit level to the ground when the jeep is at normal ride height or can it swing up a bit?

Rides great. I would be willing to bet that the stock rears are very close to the same length as the RK fronts that you have. Around 9". I think it's better for them to be a little long and the swaybar to be pointed up a little. If you have a electronic disconnect the sway bar can flip during extreme flex if the links are on the shorter side.

How does this hold up during a big flex? I semi set it up this way and am worried about the sway bar arms and links hitting the drag link during a flex. Any experience with this?

I think Eddie has a pic on here somewhere, but the bar ends should be about +5 degrees above horizontal.

The links should be long enough so that when the suspension is flexed out the sway bar doesn't flip the other direction. As long as the sway bar doesn't "flip" it doesn't matter where it sits when at ride height.

you know, they designed it with the links raised for a reason right? if you have a rubicon and use your edisco, you can kiss your passenger side link good bye.
