Sway bar disconnects help!

What do you guys do with your disconnects once you release them from your sway bar? I have a pair of JKS and I release the top of them when I went off roading this last weekend. Well it got caught on my tire and bent the bracket. I got the disconnects back on but I don't want it to get worse the next time I disconnect the sway bar. To clarify I only disconnect the top from the sway bar. I did not completely remove them. Should I have just completely removed them? ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1426722657.827518.jpg

Damn ok. I don't have a welder so I guess I'll wait till I order my c gassets fro, EVO and weld them all on at the same time.

Disconnect the bottom and either zip tie the thing up or get brackets and you use the same cotter pin to secure them up top.

That photo above happens to be a Rough Country one. There was one similar on my Jeep when I bought it, I run JKS discos and they are great and stay out of harms way up there.
