Last minute install advice - gussets and diff covers

Caught the Bug
Anybody have any advice for an EVO C-Gusset install that isn't covered in the project jk write up? It seems to do a great job but not sure if new info is available since 2008. My Willys only has 3k miles so the ball joints will be left in.

I'm also going to install my poison Spyder diff covers. Can I reuse the diff fluid since I only have 3k miles? I'd prefer not to mess with the LSD slip additive already if I don't have to.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I'd roll with the gusset install as written back in the day. As far as the diff fluid, either change it w the covers or wait fot the recomended break in. Shit after spending $$$$$ on a new rig and diff covers why recycle the fluid?

I wouldn't reuse the gear oil. As mentioned, just use synth gear oil as it has the friction modifier in it.

I installed these a few months ago. Just take your time a don't rush it. Weld about 1" or less at a time cool it with a wet rag and alternate from side to side.
