Accessing Dash Cigarette Lighter/Power Port Hole

RUBINOT

Caught the Bug
I'm wanting to replace that useless clip holder on the lower right center dash area with a USB power port in my 2014 JK.

Is there any tricks or short cuts to installing this power port with out removing the upper dash assembly or is removing the upper dash the only way.

That's where I put the switch for my daylighters, I just popped the "glove box" out reached in behind and pushed that whole little panel out. popped the little clip/holder thing out,and reassembled in reverse. (after mounting my switch of course)

Used two washers, painted the outer one, fill that stupid factory weird shaped hole for the dumb factory "shopping bag hook". Then sandwiched them between front on rear of panel. Then installed USB power port.
