Good Morning Wayalifers! I was able to buy a set of used EVO spec rear King Coilovers today!! but the shock body looks to be a little rusted where the slider comes in contact with the shock. Do y'all have any good tips to get rid of the rust & keep them maintained? Thanks for the help!

If you want you can send them to King for maintenance they will come back looking new :thumb: give them a call.

I have thought about doing that. Do you know how much they usually charge? I'll give them a call on Monday. Thanks

I got lucky! I've been looking for months just happen to stumble across these online.

I called about my DTD and they told me $120ea so in not sure if it's different but would have to assume a lite less.

I would probably use some steel wool on the lower part of the body. I thought the body was aluminum though? Guess not. Once you clean it off you can keep it lubricated with some WD40. Might help with the noise unless you do the AGM sliders.

I thought the were aluminum too. Those AGM sliders are nice but for 115$ a piece! Do they make that big of a difference?

Yeah they really do make a big difference. I think I had Northridge price match gen-right at $95 each. <img src="http://wayalife.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=136636"/> http://youtu.be/p_lDS-4FEsI http://youtu.be/pPtz1Xnmctg
I think I saw a Facebook video that Mel Wade put up on the jk experience pages where he was talking about new sliders that EVO spec coilovers now ship with. Not sure how they compare to the agm sliders, but they did apparently change them. They are $20 a piece. I can't watch the video to verify because my internet here is slow as shit today. It was posted Mach 13th if anyone wants to check it out.

Dang! That's nice. My front Coilovers sound like a train coming down the trail. Something else I have to add to the todo list.

Yeah, I saw a Instagram pic of a new king slider. Interested to see how much they are.

Yeah I did see Mel's post about them. Being taller I could see them less likely to tilt but I don't know how they would be less noisy since they are still one piece. The AGM are 2 piece machined aluminum with a plastic insert inside. From what I understand the noise comes from the springs not being able to rotate independently when compressing
