Clayton Oklahoma trips

I haven't seen much on here about some of the area's I get to ride in, so I figured I'd add some.

Clayton is one of our favorite places to wheel. We try to make a ride there about twice a year, usually in the fall and winter. It's about a six hour drive to the trails from West Monroe, La. so we always make a full weekend of it. These trails are known as Green Acres, and are mostly class 5 and 5+ with the exception of the main road which is a class 3.

This is also the trail system that got me interested in rock crawling, so I'll start with some older pics of before my Jeep was ready, and I had to ride shotgun.

Looking up the trail. Most of the trails are creek beds (sometimes dry/ sometimes wet)

These pics were taken after I got my Jeep back. You always have to expect body damage on the trails, so I make it a habit to take the windshield off.

When I saw the pic of the blond woman in the red jeep, I thought it was one of the Olsen twins for a second... LOL

Then I though to myself, WTF would an olsen twin be doing behind the wheel of a Krawler.. they acn barely stay straight on pavement... ROFLOL

Those trails look like a blast. Hairy, but fun!

BTW, West Monroe ey? Ever run into the Robertsons? I love their show, look like a good bunch of God-fearing, down to earth folks.

I'm originally from the OKC area. This makes me miss home. :) Clayton and Disney are some great spots

I haven't been to Disney yet, but it's coming.

LOL. That's my friends wife. She was tired of riding passenger, so her husband bought that for Christmas. That was her first time in her own rig.

We usually see them a couple of times a week around town. My neighbor goes to church with them, and a friend that I used to bow-fish with wife works at the shop. The shop is just through the woods of where I work.

They are really good people, and really do act as seen on tv. Some of the situations they get put into are scripted by the producers, but how they react to it is all them. It's funny to me to her people around here act all star struck when they see them. They've been famous around here for years among the hunters.

That's really cool. Good to hear they are genuinely good people. I enjoy their show and I appreciate their family values.

To get back on track, you've gone one great looking rig. Who fabbed your cage?

That would be Adam Woodlee's (Wide Open Design) work. He can build some wild stuff.
