Traction Control

We having a bit of a debate here in SA.

Some say (sounds like the intro to the stig) that the Sahara has traction control which kicks in at 1500 rpm+ while the Rubicon does not have traction control, but of course has locking diffs.

True? Or does the Sahara and Rubicon both have traction control?

All the Jeeps have traction control. X, Sport, Sahara, Rubicon. All of them. It became a vehicle requirement along with some sort of ESP program in 2008.

I dont know how jeep is, but many companies do not abide by the above mention "American standard" in their foreign car sales as to save money. So in Africa, for some companies, they may not have the same post 2008 traction control standards. Does anyone know if this is the case? I would image if one model(Sahara) has it, then like here in the US, the rubi would as well. :idontknow:

Well, just to clarify something here.

The traction control react when one wheel or more spins faster than the others, no matter what RPM or speed you're going. Of course, this won't happen on a rubicon when fully locked, but still there, the traction control goes off when putting the jeep in low range, but stability control stays on, regardless of speed or transfer case position.
