Bent axle housing and blown out drag link end

Is it safe to drive down to rausch creek with the drag link end blown out? Short of an axle swap there is nothing to do about the housing but I'm getting a new one in july, will it put other parts at risk?

I don't think I would want to drive anywhere with my only link to steering being damaged.... If it goes completely you will not have any control of where or what you are driving into. I'd replace the end. after all any part will transfer to the new axle. (perhaps I'm misunderstanding what is bad)

I guess I'll stick with the stock one then. I figure if it goes once might as well beef it up.

The factory one is very cheap to repair pieces and parts. It is also very easy to adjust which is important for the JKs. I made my own because the stock one was giving me some interference issues with my ram. But I had the stock one before and never had an issue. My wife's Jeep has a Synergy and it is a total PITA to adjust having gone through two winters.
