A Moby question!

Eddie,
I know what suspension system Moby has, but am curious as to what the actual lift over stock is with that setup.

we like to keep our rigs sitting as low as they can go and so, we have moby sitting at about 4.5" above stock. most JK's sitting on 37's sit taller than moby on its 40's.

Tagging on to that question... My EVO Enforcer is rated for either 35 or 37 but could I run 40s with flat fenders? I am aware I would lose some up travel compared to moby

with the coils rated 37, you might be able to with enough trimming and tall enough bump stops. these coils yield 4" exactly and you really need to be up closer to 4.5"-5". even with that, we've had to do a good amount of body trimming to clear our 40's

Thanks!!

It's really hard to get a perception of size from pictures!

it is. i'll have to find a shot of moby next to a rig with 37's and you'll be able to see it better.

You just posted a "family" picture the other day with Moby, Nemo and Rubicat that shows it pretty well. I can't seem to find it now but I'm sure you know what I am talking about.

I wouldn't do it. I've trimmed a lot of mine rear pinch seems already and just saw this the other day. Time to trim the front I guess. This is hitting with 37s.

The Enforcer has great flex. I wouldn't want to limit it just to get some 40s under it.

Moby looks huge!

Part of this is the angle of the shot, but I'm on a 4" lift and 37s.

You still have pinch seams?

The rears are all cut out, but I didn't think I was making contact in the front. Guess its sawzall time again?!

Another Moby question but not the same as the first.

Where are the rock lights on moby mounted? I looked on project jk but only found where the fronts are mounted. I also couldn't really see a good spot to mount them under my jeep so I was curious where his mid and rear rock lights are.

I believe the rear light on Moby is mounted on the parking brake cable bolt.

yup, we have one light attached there and have side lights attached to bolts that were originally used for the rubicon rocker guards. i would take and post up pics but, moby is still at off road evolution. :grayno:

Eddie, I see that you cut your own fenders. Do you have a template? Or is it your own personal touch? Got any advice for a newb? I have a Dremel and Sawsall.

I'll bump this question up later when Moby returns. What's he getting now?

After abusing him to the mall as we have over the past year, we're having a host of things done to get him ready again for the year to come. replacing cross member with an HD unit, replacing steering box, replacing drive shafts, fixing tearing mounts, replacing blown out bushings, etc, etc, etc...
