Does anyone know what size the nut in the yoke is? Ive now tried 32mm and 1 and 1/4. Having a hard time finding something bigger but neither of these fit

IIRC my front yoke was 1 1/16, rear was 1 1/8. Try scraping the crud off them. I had a hell of a time with the rear nut until i scraped all the dirt off it. Then had to tap it on with a hammer.

On the front it's 1 1/4", or a 32mm will work too. I just did mine yesterday and used a 32mm and it came off and went back on just fine.

Yeah I'm having a hard time with the pinion yoke on my d44. Everything else went fine on the two on the transfercase and on my d30. Its just the one on my d44

Rear D44 Pinion is 1-5/16" and it needs to be somewhat thin walled. I got a cheaper impact socket to work, but the hefty ones likely wont fit.
