Factory fog light switch.

I'm looking into a new front bumper. Some are set up for factory fogs, and some are not. So if I bought a bumper that does not accommodate the fogs, I would want to install new LED lighting.
My question is; Can I utilize my factory fog light switch with aftermarket lights?

So I did the relay thing at first . Reason here is the factory fogs are halogen and run by pcm power, essentially a staggered pulse power. If you replace them straight up with leds they will flicker.

I took out my relay and went with anti flicker harnesses.

I saw no need to complicate the wiring with a relay. The led fogs use much less power than the factory halogens. Well ok complicate is a strong word as relays are not complicated per se they just need a few more inputs

For ease of install it's worth the extra 50 bucks for the plug and play no flicker harnesses IMO. These harnesses are essentially an inline capacitor (amongst other items) that level out the stock pcm power to a steadier state to eliminate the flickering

Wanting to wire some led fog lights and reuse my factory switch. Any kind of anti flicker adaptor to plug into my factory wires or is better to just run a aftermarket switch ?

I have a set o rigid fog lights wired up to my fog switch. At first I just tried adapters with no antiflicker and I got flicker. I wired the rigid harness to the factory harness by butchering the cheap adapters I used before.

Now my lights use the rigid harness for power and the factory harness to switch the lights on and off. I haven't had any flicker issues at all.

I have my Amazon special, $18, cube LED's wired directly to the factory switch. No one bit of trouble with that setup.

Could you use resistors to stop the flickering? What is the voltage/wattage needed to power the lights?

I had Rigid cubes hooked to my factory switch and they looked like strobe lights. I could go out in the garage after not driving it for days and simply open the door and they would start flashing!

These Amazon specials may have a built in anti flicker maybe? But there is almost zero flicker, you really have to stare at them and be looking for it to notice any.
I had put Led bulbs in my factory fog lights and they flickered bad.
I'm well pleased with these cheap ones for now, guess I'll see how long they last.
