Burning smell

Since I've moved up to 35s I've noticed a burning smell ocassionally. I can't find anything rubbing. I've recalibrated for tire size. Anybody know what the problem could be?

Didn't regear. I did change differential oil and motor oil but it's been prolly 3000 miles since

maybe you spilled or kicked up some oil onto the engine/exhaust manifold when you did your oil changes. takes a while for that to burn off and will smell for a while.

Kinda. I had it aligned not long ago but my wife picked it up for me and didn't get any info from the shop.

What OverlanderJK said.

Also, If you over fill your dif the oil can find its way back out. Just something to check.

It smells kinda like a vehicle that's running hot. But it's not running hot.

I'm gonna check my exhaust and breather tubes on my days off.

I had a rubber burning smell for a bit then later figured out it was some rubber skid marks that I made on the exhaust pipe after pounding the Y-pipe tight after installing exhaust spacers. I hope this helps but considering it smells like it's running hot it probably won't.
