Lubrication for Winch

Do most newer winches come self or permanently libricated or do they come with some kind of zerk fitting for regular ligrication?

They do not come with zerk fittings. Don't worry about lubricating it. Just buy a good winch so you know it's gonna work when you need it.

I bought a used Warn that was in a rock buggy for years and then sat on a shelf in a garage. Tore it down when I got it and all of the geese looked brand new. PO said he used it 1-2 times a weekend while it was on the buggy!
