Should I buy?

I have a chance to buy a 2005 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited, 3" lift, 33" tires, warn winch, 35K miles, one owner. I've known the guy since I was young and he maintains his vehicles really well.

Asking price: $17,000.

Good deal or no?

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Check the blue book value.

I've seen them for 14k, but with 100k. That seems like a good price

I've seen the same thing and some go up to the mid 20s as well on ebay with low miles

Those are some low miles for a 2005, certainly didn't run it into the ground, unless those are mostly offroad miles. That would make all the difference. 500 miles mallcrawling = 1 mile offroading (there must be a more concise formula out there).

That would be a good deal, See if you can get it for 16k. When I totaled out my 06 LJ with about 50k miles, just this past December they booked mine out at 21k. Then of course it went up from there because of the mods.
