Front skid plate

I ordered a Rugged Ridge front skid plate for my Jk Sport.

I was under the impression that is would protect steering components. As I've been reading more, it sounds like it may only be cosmetic since I don't have an electronic disconnect.

I'd appreciate hearing other people's opinions as to whether or not there is any real benefit to installing this. I drive green and green/blue trails just a few times a year.

Hate to say it but, it'll protect nothing on your Jeep. If you can still return it, I would.

I don't have any experience with that product. But it looks like it is sturdy by the picture.

Dump it it just reinforced the useless crash bar. I chopped mine off
