Dana 30 with 44 internals

I hear from Plenty of people that the Dana 30 and 44 have the same housing dimensions. If that is the case can you fit 44 internals in a Dana 30 if you had too? Just curious.

Pretty sure this is not correct, JK D44 and D30 share the same tubes, c's and knuckles and that's about it I believe, the 44 has a larger ring and pinion so I doubt you could fit them in a 30

everything is the same, excluding the differential. the gear and pinion are bigger on the 44 than the 30 so that wont fit.
as for the axle shafts being able to fit, im not sure on that one.

44 internals will NOT fit in a 30. The reason is due to the 44's coming standard with the lockers. Due to this the axle shaft lengths are different. Also the diff it's self is larger on a 44 than the 30. Otherwise the tubes and knuckles are the same on both
