Windshield Wipers question

I was driving last night and I noticed my windshield wipers kept coming on even though I had them turned off. Has anyone had this happen? If so what was it?

Ah man I had this issue years ago with a ford ranger, they never figured out why, replaced damn near everything in the column and never fixed it. Good luck with this, I would start with the switch first.

Might be a clockspring issue.

I have had this happen one time and it has never happened again. Thought I was going crazy! Please post if you get it figured out.

Is it still going on or has it stopped?

I'm sure you already checked this out but thought I would ask anyway....Are they on the intermittent setting?

maybe relay issues or cold be a ICM problem.

Well I went out the next morning unhooked the battery left it unhooked for bout ten minutes, then hooked it back up and it hasn't done it since.
