My front drivers side tire is wearing extremely awkwardly. The tread is raised in some places and worn below the raised tread. I feel like an idiot for not being able to explain this but does anyone have a clue?

Usually tire wear is quite even on solid axle vehicles. However, when you see cupping like that, it is usually one of two things. First and most likely would be ball joints. Second on the list would be wheel bearings.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

Rotate the tires every 6000 miles to keep the wear even between all of the tires. Once you get a goofy wear pattern on a tire it will continue to wear goofy no matter what you do.

I just made a 1200 mile trek. And was probably due for a rotation before I left. Should have done that first. Preventative maintenance! I'll get them rotated and let y'all know if the issue persists. Thanks for your inputs.
