Evo C Gussett install problem

I have my front end torn apart and trying to install the evo c gussetts but ran into an issue. The lowers went on perfect, but the top doesn't want to fit. When I like the front side up, the back side has a pretty good size gap in between the gussetts and the c.
Tried uploading a picture, but its kind of hard to tell the gap. Can anybody help me out?!

if you're OCD about the gap, just lay them on their side and tap them with a BFH, that's what I did ..otherwise what's been said...

This tack it and beat it.

or
Mig: decrease amps by a few and do a slow build up there.
Stick: Decrease amps by ten or switch to a 6013 and do a root pass right there to fill the gap.
