PAC steering controls non-uConnect

I replaced my stock radio, speakers, etc. and added a pac to retain my steering wheel controls in my 2015 JKR. The pac works great. I didn't have the uConnect voice originally but now have the opportunity to purchase the steering wheel button module for the left side of the steering wheel that adds these controls. Seems to easy. I have a Pioneer NEX unit. Is there a hidden in dash module (uConnect) that I am missing or is the wiring already in place? At 41 bucks it's worth the money for the mod I think.
