Jk brake pedal squeak

Has anyone successfully defeated the very annoying brake pedal squeak? My 12 JK is doing icing me nuts every time I touch the pedal.

Honestly, I can't say that I've ever had that problem with my 2012 or 2009 or 2007's. Are you able to determine if it's coming from the pedal itself? Maybe the linkage needs a bit of oil or something?

Nothing from the pedals, the pads squeaking is another story

checked the linkage and other simple fixes with no luck.

My '15 is doing it too. Not so bad that it drives me nuts, but it is on the annoying side. You are not alone.

My pedal doesn't really squeak but does sound like a clicking noise I think from the brake switch that gets depressed to turn on brake lights

my 2010 didn't squeal, my 2015 squeals like a pig when I start out, drives me nuts.

I'm going to try power washing the brakes front and backside to see if it's just a build up of new brake dust and then doing a break-in sequence on them.

It may be too late and they've already glazed so if the break-in doesn't work, I'll pull the pads and scuff them up a bit and try again.

if all else fails I'll get a better pad and replace them.
