37" Tires on a 3" Lift

Question, I have a 4 door 2015 JK with a 3" Procomp lift and I'm currently running 35" tires on 17" rims. I was watching a Teraflex video and they were suggesting that to put 37" tires, it is recommended to at least add a 1" body lift kit to your 3" lift for more body clearance. I love going off road and going over boulders, but don't want to put a massive lift on it because my wife still needs to drive it. Is this a good way to go or not? Thanks for the input!

Teraflex doesn't know what they're talking about or at least, they're only concerned with Jeeps that have factory full fenders on rather than what's best to do. What you'll want to do is either trim your fenders or install a set of flat fenders. That will give you the clearance that you'll need to prevent rubbing at a full stuff and without having to lift your Jeep more.

Don't forget to check the bump stops. But that's it.

I thought maybe changing the fenders out would do it but was unsure! Thanks guys! That's what I'll do!

I'm a 2 door so I'm a little higher than 3" ... but this is with the EVO 3" plush rides with 37s.

This is always the best option before a body lift....(EDIT:except you should use a metal blade rather than the illistrated wood blade ;) )

I ran a body lift on my first JK and had issues with the linkage to my transfer case

What Eddie and Chris said. Im running flat fenders and 35s on a 3" enforcer, but easily have room for 37s when the time comes. Just will need to tweak the bump stops and pinch seam a bit.

I might do 37s in the future and I'm only on a 2.5 inch lift already cut the fenders next I would do the pinch welds. I also have spacers if needed so it might be a 3 inch with spacers

Will 37's fit my JK? I have 3" Evo coils and on rear 1/2 inch coil spacer with 3" Evo coils. I have to order my tires with 2 hours. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1447181982.919311.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1447182001.771542.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1447182022.590216.jpg
