Front axle u joint clips

i am doing some work on my 08 rubicon.I noticed their are no clips on my u joints on the front axles. I read half clips are stock full clips are good,but what about no clips,the caps are flush.I bought the jeep with alot of mods already done

Here is a picture.All 4 caps on each side look the same.

I see clips. They are just to the inside or the yolks

Ok.Thank you.I thought they went on the outside like my u joints on the drive line.

That would make more sense if they designed them that way.
But if it saved them 3 cents on every unit that adds up fast

Or they could have just charged a dollar more to do it the better way, that would have added up pretty quick too.
