Lots of sand here in SoCal. Not much snow.

The two things that I have found that work the best for me are (1) tire pressure, obviously; and (2) disabling the traction control (at least for those of us with 2011 or earlier Jeep JK's). I have a six speed manual so 1-3 work well in 4 high depending on speed. Assuming you talking about soft sand ..... as opposed to just sandy covered trails.

Here in idaho

Here in idaho the sand and snow can be very dishieving. Its windy here a lot so what looks like a sand dune sometimes can be a very big snow bank that will swallow a vechile, but low tire pressure, shovels, and other people are the best help. Don't snow wheel alone. And i know i can't spell
