Not to compete with suds of the day, but nothing wrong with a little variety. Thought I would start this to see if others, like me, enjoy a nice bottle of vino now and then!

I'll start with what I'm sippin with the mrs. tonight. A nice port from Cali's central coast, which happens to be one of my fav areas. It's nicely aged from 2009. Yummy.

No Jags. :grayno: There are only 4 glasses per bottle. The wife gets a half to one glass. I drink two glasses while she sips from hers. She falls asleep and I finish the last glass directly from the bottle. Then I move on to something with a little more kick like honey over.

I've only been in the wine seen for a shirt time and have a very sweet tooth. Now for my interpretation lol the taste is almost two separate tastes. It seems the dry? Is separate from the sweet of the honey but come together in the end. If your ok with sweet give it a try. They sell it in state stores around hear but this one was brought back from Ireland. We were there doing some family research.

Recommend hitting up Oreana. Wife and I both did the full flight. Liked them all. Bought a nice traditional zin and a verdelho, which was a unique white they do. Kind of tropical but not too sweet.

Almost that time of year for the central coast wine festival. Wife and I have gone almost every year for the past 15+ yrs. We're planning to be in Paso/cambria area May 15-19. The festival itself has gotten more of a drunk feast over the years, but the wineries have some great things going on. Worth the trip if you can make. If you think you might go, shoot me a PM and we can hit some wineries. Also can get a private tasting at Cinquain.

Haven't tried them Frank but with wine it's all about what YOU like too many wine snobs in the world take the "fun" out of drinking and enjoying wine. That's what I love about our WAL wine folks they get it and don't judge whether I've posted a $8 bottle or $80 bottle. Open those puppies up and tell us what you did or didn't like about them. Once we know that there are many on here who can steer you towards wine that will suit your palate. Let us know! Enjoy!

You guys are very welcome. Congrats on the new place and future wedding plans!!!

I think you'll enjoy this bottle. A little bold, but not overpowering. Packs tons of flavor and nice little kick. Cheers.

Right on. It is awesome weather here at SLT. So this red is doing the job. 👍 Wife and I love this Malbec.

Saw this on sale today and had to try it out.

93396

Have to say, this wine is pretty good. If you are looking for a good deal, you essentially get 4 bottles in the box. On sale it was $17. So that's about $4 a bottle. Plus it comes in a recyclable box. :thumb: And you do not have to worry about finishing it once opened…not that I have any trouble finishing a bottle before it goes bad.

Perfect for camping.

You're bringing me back a case of yuengling right?

Not sure how that would handle in my checked luggage. If it were the old days, I be happy to bring it in my carry on. Well, what I didn't drink on the flight back.
