Tailgate sensor problem.

Dashboard will beep saying the tailgate is open and then once I lock my JK, the alarm will go off. Seems to happen randomly. Anyone ever encountered this issue? 2013 Rubi

Did you pull out, add any additional wiring or do any work in the gate?

No I didn't. Took it to the dealership still under warranty for two more weeks. lol. They said it was the wire harness had a short. (Second time back). The first time they told me it was a latch issue they replaced it and problem still occurred. But now I'll be waiting for a call when my part comes in its on back order.....
