Random plug on top of radio

I was removing the bezel on top of the radio to install my versa mount and came across this plug taped to the top of the radio.. Any clue what it is?

I think that's for the uconnect module/mic

that plug goes in the compass unit

This^^^^^

Just swapped head units and the compass unit sticks to the underside of that top panel. (On applicable stereos).
