Taking my Jeep for a walk lol

So I was just curious is anybody else experienced this or not but yesterday I started to paint my Rubicon JKU from black to flat white. It took forever to tape it off and it's far from done but I took the front fenders off to make sure I get every crack. I drove home from work with fenders off and I don't know if it wasn't windy or not or the no fenders helped but she didn't do any walking on the highway at all. Do you think that having no fenders equals no walking or am I thinking about this totally wrong. What do you think?

I've always known my Jeeps to walk in during any sort of wind. That's with full fenders, cut down fenders, and missing one fender at one point. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference. I feel like regardless, the bricks in the wind will be just that; bricks in the wind.
